When you are working with teachers and want to help them create compelling content to help engage their students, you need a easy piece of software that helps you complete the task. That software for me 9 times out of 10 when I’m working with teachers is Adobe ®Presenter. With Adobe Presenter you can create professional-quality videos by capturing both yourself and your screen with a few clicks. I’m able to help the teachers turn passive content into video presentations, product demonstrations and training videos, right on their desktop. Adobe Presenter allows the teachers to edit their videos with a simple four-button interface. Teachers can get feedback by including quizzes and surveys, publish to video portals, desktops, and mobile devices, and track student’s performances using integration with LMSs. Even more importantly to some of the teachers is that they can have the data emailed to them for instant feedback of students performances.
I had the opportunity to work with some of the teachers at my school in Chiswick and the experience has been wonderful. So much so that Adobe send in a film crew to see what we are doing and how we are using their software. The highlight for me however was that Gourav Sinha, a product Marketing Manager spend the whole day with us seeing how we create and use the product at Chiswick School.
I was so happy that Mr Ardy, the photography teacher who I have been working with, we could highlight the work he has been doing. It is amazing the creative work he has done with his students and now with Adobe Presenter he can share the work with parents and guardians. The tools he used such as the intervention tools to ensure he knew exactly where his student were at any time in the course was a real benefit to him and the students.
Some of the advantages Adobe Presenter gives teachers are:
- ability to attach documents
- 24 hour learning
- quizzes
- differentiation
- ability to record video
- use of audio
- students can ask questions, students and teachers can answer questions
- ability to stop the presentation and start whenever you want to learn
- add notes
- search for information based around a particular slide
- close captions
And that is just a few of them. So to me everything in one package which allow you to create and produce engaging and creative content. One example is how we use it for languages so parents can hear what their children are learning and as an added benefit, they can learn themselves. We have around 25+ languages in the school so this really help us.
One other very interesting opportunity was for our students to be involved in the shooting of the video. All the students were from Mr Ardy class so I thank him very much for allowing his students to help us on the day.
