BETT Show 2014 Winners – Winning £10,000 of equipment for Chiswick School

We received the fantastic news that our entry to the BETT 30th Birthday competition had been successful. This was a national competition with a prize of £10,000 worth of goodies from various companies exhibiting at BETT (The largest show of educational technologies in the world). Congratulations to Renaldo Lawrence who worked with two of our year 7 students to create the winning entry which can be seen here BETT’s 30 Birthday Gift from Chiswick School 2013-14 Renaldo and our two star year 7 students went to the show this afternoon to pick up the prize and meet the press! This cements our growing position as a leader in the use of mobile technologies in the classroom.
A big thank you from me to Tony Ryan, our Head Teacher for having the vision to see what’s possible and allow me to express myself.  The two young men who helped me, you guys were outstanding. OUTSTANDING!!!!!
During this week we also had international week.  I had the opportunity to speak with people from various countries and show then how we are helping prepare our students for the work of work when they leave us.  All of this has been possible due to the work of Seb Witts, who has done wonders in his role of International co-coordinator.
These group of people were from Denmark, but we had groups from Sweden, Bombay, Norway and Uganda.
